Avalon Alpacas Need Pasture & Housing

Posted in Critters on Jul 05 by | PrintText Resizer Text Resizer

We just moved from 40 acres in Arizona to an apartment in Dudley… our Alpacas need a green fenced pasture to come to because they won’t fit in the living room! We have to keep them in two groups… boys and girls. We have some portable panels and can provide our own buckets and husbandry gear. Some shelter will be required for them and access to water. Pasture for warm days and some yard / barn space when it gets cold.

We are willing to pay $500+/month for pasture space and some light oversight. We will come and care for them several times a week but they need good space to graze and run in and somebody to check and see that they are still cute and maybe fill a water bucket between our visits. We will take care of their veterinary and husbandry needs. Prefer not to co-locate with cows or goats due to cross breed health concerns and avoid sharing pasture with donkey’s or horses due to risk of injury. Sheep would be ok in adjoining pastures and could even co-habitate in pasture with our paca girls.

Our Paca boys come with their own Guardian Livestock Dog – a beautiful gentle Kuvasz who would like to stay with his buddies and continue to look after them if possible.

Alpacas are delightful quiet animals with tidy potty habits (one pile for all). If you have farm visitors and would like another kind of critter to feature the Pacas could be a great draw. We are willing to discuss coming to show off and manage the Pacas and help introduce them to your visitors at your farm / ranch events.

If you have some pasture & barn space available within 1/2 hour of Dudley, Massachusetts write to me! Thank you!
